At Acura, safety isn’t just a priority – it’s a vision. Our commitment to a Zero-Collision Society drives the innovation behind Acura’s advanced safety features, designed to protect you, your passengers, and everyone else on the road.
CMBS™ helps alert drivers when a potential frontal impact is detected and can even apply the brakes to help avoid or reduce the collision impact.*
*CMBS with FCW cannot detect all objects ahead and may not detect a given object; accuracy will vary based on weather, speed, and other factors. System operation affected by extreme interior heat. FCW does not apply braking, and CMBS only is designed to mitigate crash forces. Depending on the circumstances, CMBS may not go through all the alert stages before initiating the last stage of collision mitigation. Driver remains responsible for safely operating vehicle and avoiding collisions.
RDM alerts the drivers to and unintentional departure from detected lane or roadway. The feature is able to apply steering torque and braking to help keep the vehicle on the roadway.
*Road Departure Mitigation only alerts drivers when lane drift is detected without a turn signal in use and can apply mild steering torque to assist driver in maintaining proper lane position and/or brake pressure to slow the vehicle's departure from a detected lane. RDM may not detect all lane markings or lane departures; accuracy will vary based on weather, speed and road condition. System operation affected by extreme interior heat. Driver remains responsible for safely operating vehicle and avoiding collisions.
ACC helps reduce driver fatigue by maintaining a set speed and distance from the vehicle detected ahead. The low-speed feature will bring the vehicle to a complete stop if the detected vehicle slows to a stop.
*ACC with Low-Speed Follow cannot detect all objects ahead and may not detect a given object; accuracy will vary based on weather, speed, and other factors. System operation affected by extreme interior heat. ACC should not be used in heavy traffic, poor weather, or on winding roads. Driver remains responsible for safely operating vehicle and avoiding collisions.
LKAS applies steering assistance at higher speeds, helping to keep your Acura centered in the detected lane.
*LKAS only assists driver in maintaining proper lane position when lane markings are identified without a turn signal in use and can only apply mild steering torque to assist. LKAS may not detect all lane markings; accuracy will vary based on weather, speed and road condition. System operation affected by extreme interior heat. Driver remains responsible for safely operating vehicle and avoiding collisions.
The Pedestrian Detection system is part of CMBS and is used to help detect pedestrians and alerts the driver with audio and visual warnings. It may apply the brakes if needed to help avoid collision.
*CMBS with Pedestrian Detection cannot detect all objects ahead and may not detect a given object; accuracy will vary based on weather, speed and other factors. System operation affected by extreme interior heat. System designed to mitigate crash forces. Driver remains responsible for safely operating vehicle and avoiding collisions.
Traffic Sign Recognition (TSR) detects speed limit signs and displays that information on your dash and the available head-up display.
*TSR cannot detect all traffic signs and may misidentify certain signs. Accuracy will vary based on weather and other factors. System operation affected by extreme interior heat. Driver remains responsible for complying with all traffic regulations.
Traffic Jam Assist can aid with steering at low speeds and will bring your vehicle to a complete stop then resume travelling again with the traffic ahead.
*Lane Keeping Assist System (LKAS) and Traffic Jam Assist (TJA) only assists driver in maintaining proper lane position when lane markings are identified without a turn signal in use and can only apply mild steering torque to assist. The system may not detect all lane markings; accuracy will vary based on weather, speed and road condition. System operation affected by extreme interior heat. Driver remains responsible for safely operating vehicle and avoiding collisions.
The Blind Spot Information System feature monitors the rear and sides of your TLX to help you detect vehicles in the alert zone of adjacent lanes.
*Blind Spot Information with Rear Cross Traffic Monitor: The systems are not a substitute for your own visual assessment before changing lanes or backing up, and may not detect all objects, or provide complete information about conditions behind or to the side of the vehicle. System accuracy will vary based on weather, size of object, and speed. Driver remains responsible for safely operating vehicle and avoiding collisions.
The Rear Cross Traffic Monitor feature monitors helps to detect vehicles approaching from either side when the TLX is in reverse.
